ADL Embedded Solutions Announces Its Family of High Ingress-Protection (IP) ADLMES-8200 Modular Enclosures

ADL Embedded Solutions, a leading provider of customizable, high-performance embedded solutions for demanding thermal and rugged environments, today has announced its Family of New High IP Modular Enclosures, ADLMES-8200. The ADLMES-8200 is a highly configurable, modular enclosure system aimed at quick-turn delivery of rugged or extended temperature enclosures for a variety of applications. The modular sidewall design supports variable PC/104 stack heights, ADL Embedded Solutions' 3.5" SBCs and other SBC Intelligent Systems.

The ADLMES-8200 is available in 3 different variations:     
ADLMES-8200-LP Low Profile 2-Card Chassis, measures 3.2"H x 7.0"W x 6.6"D
ADLMES-8200-P1 4-Card Chassis, measures 4.6"H x 7.0"W x 6.6"D
ADLMES-8200-P2 6-Card Chassis, measures 5.9"H x 7.0"W x 6.6"D

Quick-turn, high IP systems are made possible through the modular architecture of the ADLMES-8200, high-availability of inventory, quick-turn custom faceplate/backplate support and readily available high-IP connectors. The finned-chassis design allows for conduction cooling through the base to airframe or vehicle bulkhead or passive cooling via the finned chassis surface which can be augmented with forced cooling. Up to IP65 Ingress-Protection is possible with appropriate faceplate and connector options.

The ADLMES-8200 is only available as part of a full system and is fully supported by ADL Embedded Solutions' team of Solidworks engineers to provide design and 3D modeling support. Full quick-turn system solutions including internal hardware is made possible through ADL Embedded Solutions' broad portfolio of PC/104 SBC options ranging from low-power lntel® Atom™(Z510/Z530, D525 Pineview and N2600 Cedarview) to high-performance 4th generation Intel Core i7 Quad processors like the ADLQM87PC. ADL Embedded Solutions' offers compatible power supply options (ADLPS35, ADLPS104 & ADLPS104ISO) for simple and high-pow­ered systems as well as a broad range of peripheral options.

February 25, 2014 – ADL Embedded Solutions, a leading provider of customizable, high-performance embedded solutions for demanding thermal and rugged environments today announces its ADLE3800PC, PCIe/104 Single Board Computer. The ADLE3800PC is based on Intel’s first System-on-Chip (SoC) E3800 Atom product family which is built using Intel’s 22nm 3D Tri-gate process.  It offers vastly superior compute performance and energy efficiency and has Intel’s 7th generation graphics engine for stunning graphics performance.  Improved power management capabilities result in standby power measured in milliwatts and standby time measured in days.

February 25, 2014 – ADL Embedded Solutions, a leading provider of customizable, high-performance embedded solutions for demanding thermal and rugged environments joins PC/104 Consortium as Executive Level Member. The PC/104 Consortium was established in February 1992 by 12 companies with a common vision of adapting desktop computer technology for embedded applications. This consortium has had a tremendous, positive effect on the embedded computer marketplace. The initial release of the PC/104 specification in March of 1992 was an open design offering the power and flexibility of an IBM compatible personal computer in a size ideally suited for embedding. Simple and elegant in design, small but rugged in performance, PC/104 technology bridged the successes of the past with the promises of future innovations.

As a technical organization the PC/104 Consortium creates, maintains and distributes specifications supporting the PC/104 form factor.
